OverIT has proudly published its Sustainability Report 2023, marking the second edition of this strategic document since the company began its sustainability journey. The report underscores OverIT’s ongoing efforts and rapid achievements in environmental and governance practices (ESG), over the past year.
Key Highlights of the Sustainability Report 2023
Environmental Initiatives
The report details significant advancements in quantifying carbon emissions, including the Scope 3 emissions generated by OverIT’s value chain, incorporating them in the carbon footprint, for the first time ever. Additionally, the report highlights the securing of ISO 14001 certification for Environmental Management System, which further confirms OverIT’s commitment to responsible practices.
Social Accountability and Philanthropy
The report highlights OverIT’s groundwork in pursuing additional endorsements for social accountability and equal opportunity, along with its effort in supporting humanitarian organizations. This entails leveraging OverIT’s expertise in GIS and emerging technologies to streamline the efficient management of resources in emergency aid distribution.
Governance, Ethics, and Integrity
The report emphasizes OverIT’s focus on enhancing its Organization, Management and Control Framework (OMC Framework) to ensure compliance with high standards of corporate governance and transparency.
CSRD and Future Goals
Looking ahead, OverIT is preparing to meet the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the European Union directive stablishing new standards for corporate sustainability reporting.
Specifically, the Report includes the results of the double materiality assessment, an analysis engaging stakeholders in determining both the financial impact of sustainability issues on OverIT and its impact on communities and the environment.
Additionally, OverIT has set some very ambitious goals for the future, including the development of a decarbonization plan and the improvement of its EcoVadis score.
